6/15/12 - I’m Finished!! I love this sweater. It fits perfectly (so glad I re-did the sleeves, otherwise it would have sat in the wardrobe alone) and the yarn is so soft! I did 3 rows of sc up on side, around the neck and down the other for a nice clean finish. I’m not sure what (if anything) I’ll use to close the top. Maybe ribbon ties? I haven’t blocked it yet, and could get away without it although I know it’ll look even better when it’s done!

6/13/12 Sleeves are done! Body is done! What’s left? One or two rounds for the “finish” and blocking!

5/15/12 Back to work and it feels so good! Sleeves on row 12 and it fits. Really this time! Hope to be done by the end of the week!

4/23/12 It is not fitting properly. At all. After sleeping on it I’ve decided to go ahead and rip it back to the sleeves and to start them on row 12 (15 if you count the “cowl”). I want it to fit well and if I don’t do this I’ll never wear it!!

4/21/12 Completed 29 rows from cowl and piece measures 19 inches. This would be a good length for a cropped look, but since it’s for me I’m going to add another 4 inches (6 or 7 rows?). I measured this against one of my favorite fitting similar sweaters and I’m right on! Hope to get to sleeves this weekend.

4/15/12 Started sleeves on row 16, too low on sweater body. Out it came plus one row. This time I started sleeves on row 15 and the fit seems fine (close to the body as the pattern indicates). Should be quick going to finish the body. Yipee! Still like the way it looks and feels - Fingers crossed it fits!

4/11/12 Making progress! Added pics today. Not too much farther ‘til I mark for sleeves. Yay!

4/8/12 Just a few days in and I’m so much happier with this sweater! I used a Fsc to start as others mentioned in their notes and I’m glad for that change. Other than that, just following along waiting to get to the point to mark and add stitches for the sleeves. The instructions for the sleeves now are clear. I’m considering going up a hook sizes if they seem to small, but I’ll see when I get there. A great way to enjoy Easter. This is my blessing today!
4/6/12 After becoming so completely frustrated with the Turnberry Cardigan I’m going to give this pattern a try. After all 1583 Ravelers can’t be wrong! I just want something to wear this spring. Let’s see how it goes!
