Swatch, Swatch, Swatch!!
I’m using a substitute yarn for my swatch, because I don’t have extra Noro and I don’t want to have to frog it, so while it my not be exact, it should be close.
Here’s something - I’m new to knitting so swatching this project not only is helping me determine what needle to use, but is really helping me to feel comfortable with the pattern. Now I know that I can do it and what it should look like.
I also had to learn what “No Stitch” means in reading a chart. In case you don’t know, it means do nothing - simply start at the beginning of row with the first stitch in the chart. There will be decreases in the rows that will make complete sense of “No Stitch”. The only reason that it’s included is to make the chart look nice and symmetrical. It’s a chart thing - you won’t see it in written instructions (at least I don’t think so!)
