I’ve only just begun..
As usual I had to go down one hook size from what is recommended. This is a normal occurrence for me so doesn’t come as a surprise! I also just discovered Denise’s Rav group and will be participating in a JAL with this project. Fun times ahead!!
I’m not sure what I was thinking, but I ended up re-starting with an H hook because the G was just too small.
I had some trouble with the instructions for the main section of the hat, but was able to figure out what to do by drawing myself a diagram. Denise sent an update and as it turns out where I was stuck was because of an error. The happy news is my solution was the same as hers!
I used a worsted wool and the texture the stitch pattern creates is quite lovely. It’s sort of bobbley but not quite!
It’s an easy to memorize pattern that went quickly - and once you get to the decreasing your finished in a jiff!
I really like the tassels - a lot. I think they’re fun but in a grown up way.
I’ll make this again, but next time I’ll add a few more rows to the body. I stopped at 4 1/4 inches, but once I put it one I realize that i should have gone for more.
It’s a good hat and will make a great gift!
