i’m making this for lola who wears a size 7. since the pattern calls for thicker yarn, i went down a hook size and up a pattern size (10-12)

i’m using the lemon peel stitch instead of hdc.

i went 24 rows then started on the inset pockets.
row 25- crochet the first 8 stitches, chain 15, skip 15 stitches, crochet the next 49 stitches, chain 15, skip 15, crochet next 8 stitches. (95)
row 26- crochet the first 8 stitches, crochet in each 15 chain chains, crochet in next 49 stitches, crochet in each 15 chains, crochet last 8 stitches.

I went to row 50 before i started on the armholes.

for the ribbing- i worked 5hdc in every 2 rows.

i worked the ribbing around the jacket in rows and did not work backwards. once i got to the other side, i cut the yarn and restarted from the beginning again. i don’t like the look of the fp/bp after the work is turned.

i made 5 rows of fp/bp ribbing and added 7 buttons spaced out evenly.
