8 blue
8 light blue
8 mustard
8 light peach
8 dark peach

after determining that i could get 8 moss stitches in each color, i used the planned pooling calculator to determine where i wanted to begin. i planned to make a baby blanket, so i made a pattern that was 1.5 color sequences wide. i made a chain about 40” long and started the moss stitch 3 stitches in with the blue so it would start in the corner.

i crocheted around the starting chain (as demonstrated in marly bird’s planned pooling tutorial found here: https://youtu.be/sKSCPl7w6sA) and then took it a step further by crocheting my method of the “invisible” starting chain (demonstrated in my poorly filmed video here: https://youtu.be/s_a_gDKYbc4).

every row had 60 moss stitches. i used 9 skeins but wish i could use one more to close the blue square. i was unable to find any more of this yarn. it is a discontinued color and i found it in the 3 pack at joanns. i found two packs at one store and the last pack at another.

in order to maintain my pattern and have the colors shift over by one stitch, i had to make one side of the light peach color 7 stitches.
