jasmine stitch!
this is a half sequence and it measures 24ā wide. i was able to get 6 jasmine clusters in each section of color with an h 5.00mm hook. this stitch is definitely a yarn eater and the fabric is very thick and squishy!
after the initial puff stitch foundation row (i used solid black), the first row was 31 jasmine clusters (half sequence plus one additional cluster). because each of the rows have the same amount of clusters, i have it offset by 2 clusters.
it is too narrow to make a blanket, so i suggest that if you want to make a blanket from this, either do a full sequence or 1.5 sequence.
i really wish there were more color options for self striping yarn because it is my favorite style to work with. i keep coming back to neon stripes and primary stripes because of the convenience. i would love to see more yarn that was made in this style, with a common color (like the black or white) in between a yarn with more color options. ice yarns has been out of stock for a while.
i think this would work great with a baby yarn. Iām going to work this stitch with lion brand ice cream yarn next.
