i made a starting chain in white with a separate yarn.

i determined how many stitches were in each color by making a swatch. there are 13 sections of white and red that alternate between each blue section. i wanted to start in the middle of the red and white stripe section and end in the middle of the blue.

the full color sequence in dc with my dye lot, tension, and hook size is as followed (this will probably vary for you):

20 white
20 red

20 white
20 red
20 white

20 white

i crocheted through half a color sequence ( + 2dc) to give it an offset shift of 3 stitches (193dc in each row).

1 skein goes through the full color sequence 4 times, so it made 8 full rows of dc with some left over.
