i made 3 planned pooling panels and attached them with a moss stitch border in order to connect them.
planned pooling pieces:
color sequence is as followed (3 moss stitches in each color)-
hot pink
light pink
pumpkin
mint
pumpkin
light pink
2 color sequences wide- i wanted to start with the hot pink in the center of the corner, so i began each piece like this-
i first used the pale pink yarn and chained long enough for the width. then i used the spicy ombre yarn to crochet around both sides of the starting chain. invisible starting chain technique can be found here:

row 1: 1 hot pink, 3 light pink, 3 pumpkin, 3 mint, 3 pumpkin, 3light pink, 3 hot pink, 3 light pink, 3 pumpkin, 3 mint, 3 pumpkin, 3light pink, 2 hot pink
panel 1 measures 16” x 16”- best to stretch over a 18” x 18” pillow form.
panel 2 measures 16” x 9”
panel 3 measured 16” x 8” and after the 6 rows of shocking pink edge, final measure was 16” x 9”.
on row 4 of the shocking pink edging of the panel, i made button holes by chaining 2 and skipping a moss stitch. on row 5, I made 2 moss stitches in the ch2 space.
panel 2 and 3 overlap by a few inches in order to be able to hide the pillow form but still be able to remove and wash.
i connected the 3 panels by lining them up and moss stitched through all three. i did two rows of moss stitch and ended with a candy cane edge. an example of this can be found here by RepeatCrafterMe:

i altered mine by using chain 3 (instead of chain 4) and continued all the way around, even at the border (but did ch4 at border).
i weaved in all ends and all starting chains.
for the buttons, i sewed them onto panel 2, directly on top of where the pattern criss crossed over. i inserted the 18”x18” pillow form and buttoned it shut.
