My tension must be significantly different than the pattern intended, because my top piece was so much smaller than the bottom that even when I swapped to a 3.5mm down from the 4.5mm, I still had to cut a row of increases and max out my stitch count at 72 around. I also had to frog the top several times in an attempt to get the piece to lay flat for the first bit. Next time I will probably use a much larger hook for the top section in order to use the 4.5mm for the bottom at 81 stitches around. For the strap, I wanted it to lay flat on the body, so I did a basic Tunisian crochet stitch, 4 stitches across for 185 rows.

Update: Started on the wrist bag and reread the cluster description, I must have skimmed over the last YO and pull through. I would have personally written it as the cluster followed by a Ch 1, but either way, I didn’t include the extra loop. I initially had started doing it that way, but I had large gaps, so I omitted it to reduce them. The gaps might just be unavoidable.
