DONE! This is going to be a favorite summer sweater. I adore the Rowan revive yarn and love the design of the sweater! Mods: No wrap around the cables. Increased length 12 cm on sleeves and 15 cm on body as I am tall. Adjusted waist accordingly, but waist increases should be placed higher next time. One of my favorite sweaters ever! Might do a second in a different color. Pictures to follow shortly. Thank you to AnnR for helping me with translation of the pattern - my first in English.

3/7 Tested for gauge. I am usually a tight knitter, but found that I had to go down to 3.5 mm needles from 4 mm. Perhaps the tweedy character makes it harder to knit tight? Also, it is mentioned by several knitters that the yarn grows with wear. I have to get used to knitting with it, if knitting tight the yarn makes quirky noises … but I LOVE the feel of the fabric. I LOVE the fact that the yarn is recycled too … LOVE the cotton/silk/viscose mix.

3/7 Cast on and started knitting in the round. Cable will be on inside to avoid purling too much, no problem. I make sure the cables intended come out on top. Looks very pretty and 3,5 knitted tight (!) seems to give the correct gauge. If the sweater should look as in the picture on me, I have to increase the length with 12-15 cm! Scandinavians are just taller than in the UK :-) I hope the 2 extra skeins I bought (12 total) will be enough.

This is my first English pattern and spent time to work out what the ‘wrapping’ of the cables meant. I decided against it, since there is a lot of texture in the yarn by itself, no need to add extra texture to the cables by an extra wrap of yarn around it in my view. It is also very hard to determine what it looks like on the pattern photo!

11/7 Body done and the fit so far is perfect! Increasin length by 15 cm was not too much. There is room for a little shrinkage but I hop it remains as it is.

15/7 Completed first sleeve. It measures 46 cm to the beginning of the sleeve top, 12 cm longer than the pattern as I am tall and do not want 3/4 sleeves.

28/7 Finally had time to finish. Sleeves sewn in and did the neck. PERFECT fit except the waist decreases could be placed a few cm higher. Also I might make the sleeves 1-2 cm longer on the next one in Quartz (pink) …

1/9 Compared to the pink cables sweater, the fit in the blue one was more ‘sloppy’. I redid the neckline, making it tighter and adding 2 rows (1 knit & 1 purl). I closed off more tightly. Now it fits perfectly! New photos to be posted shortly.
