Picked this back up again, after going through my WIPs bin and finding it. Currently 50% done with the stocking. Will soon begin the clocks.

After shaping the heel, instructions say to K8 on the WS, fold in half with WS out, and do 3NBO. This puts a ridge of purls on the RS adjacent to the seam, which seems odd, and wrong.

Instead, I worked those 8 sts as they would have been worked on the WS for the rest of the heel shaping, by slipping the first st kwise, then purling the next 7 sts..

The weird mass increases after picking up around the heel flap are done, followed by the gusset decreases. Now working on the straight part of the foot. 76%

Toe is complete! It’s a weird stocking, that’s for sure.
