Up to row 38 on sleeve cap and neckline shaping. 20 more rows till I get to add in another color…adding another 42 sts to the length of the rows….

Up to row 46. 15% finished, and I still haven’t reached the point where I divide for the sleeves! I’m so glad I do spreadsheets to add up the stitch counts, because it becomes difficult to see that I’m making progress, otherwise.

Finished Row 60, first CC stripe. 20% finished.

Realized I wouldn’t have enough of the MC yarn or the gradient, so returned to the Yarnery and bought another skein of the MC. They no longer had the gradient, so I bought a different CC. Worked the first two CC stripes and realized the CC was violently bright and that I wouldn’t like it. Appealed to two Minnesota groups I thought might have bought the gradient set during Shop Hop to see if anyone would sell it, and found someone! Yay!

Ripped back to the point where the first CC stripe begins and then promptly knit it with the 2nd color in the sequence, rather than the first, so had to rip out again, and re-knit again. Argh.

Currently in the middle of the first wide short-row stripe in MC.

Finished first CC wide stripe and second MC wide stripe. 33% finished. Really happy with the gradient yarn as CC in this sweater.

I just realized I have the neck ribbing and buttonband done, but not the buttonhole band. And I remember buying buttons for this thing…I will have to find them.

Finished 12 of 15 rnds of 1x1 ribbing for the first sleeve cuff when the skein ran out. Will need to wind up the last skein. 80% complete

Last of the colored stripes completed. Just a 1/2 stripe of MC and the sleeve ribbing, and then the buttonband.

Didn’t make a note of the needle I used to do the neck and button band last year, so I guessed that I used a 3 mm needle, since that’s what the pattern called for. I think I may have used a US 2/2.75 mm or even a 2.5mm. Trying to decide whether to take out the button band and reknit, because I think the buttonhole band lies better. Guess I’ll block the cardi and then see what I think.
