9/12/09: They’re done!

Details are:

• CO 6
• Increase to 72
• Knit just shy of 7” before heel flap
• 2” heel flap
• 2.5” stockinette before ribbing
• Increase to 76 in first row of ribbing
• 3.5” of 2x2 ribbing.

These socks are growing on me. I don’t usually wear orange or yellow (even on my feet), so these socks definitely break out of my comfort zone.

I dyed the blank based on a picture I took, so I’m happy I was able to translate the actual sunset colors to a pair of socks.

These socks fit very, very well. I feel confident saying that I’ve finally hit upon my perfect sock recipe.

5/2/09: I’ve been knitting these socks over the last month and made great progress today. I completed both gussets while watching Gaslight, Lady Of The Night, A Dog’s Life, A Day’s Pleasure and So Long At The Fair (very creepy).

4/2/09: I made progress on both socks while watching the ER series finale and Survivor.

3/18/09: This afternoon I cast on and knit the second toe while watching two episodes of Oprah. The second toe is identical to the first (6 => 72 sts.).

This evening I continued knitting on both socks while watching Lost.

3/16/09: I cast on and finished the first toe while watching Dancing With The Stars and the first hour of The Corn Is Green.

I cast on 6 and increased to 72.
