I love the ‘choose your own adventure’ aspect of this cowl which gives you a choice of beginner, intermediate or experienced charts for the lace, texture and cable sections.
This is part of the Stitches and Cream Twixmas KAL.

COLOUR WORK SECTION
4.5mm circular (40cm)
Used German twisted cast on. Didn’t do a provisional cast on as I always make a dog’s breakfast of Kitchener stitch in anything other than flat garter stitch so I’ll just sew the ends together with help from a video by Purl Soho. https://youtu.be/RGhXqQQZBMs?si=6F6p3E48Ch5XatR-

Changed to 60cm circular after about 5 rows of the colour work.
Very addictive!!! Loving it!!!

LACE SECTION - C
Probably didn’t need to go down to the 3.5mm needle as I think my tension was a bit tight. Pleasantly surprised how well it shows up in the black.

CABLE SECTION
Couldn’t decide between Cable B & Cable C so I’ve chosen to replace the Texture section with a Cable section and do both B & C.

I will definitely make more of these and perhaps incorporate different lace & cable sections.
Next time I’ll use a 4mm for my colourwork.

Used a mop handle held in place with woodworking clamps.
As usual, Peppermint Crisp used for scale
