Beads are Toho cc263 - Toho rocailles 6/0 inside color rainbow crystal/light capri
I seem to use less yarn than the test knitters and want to use up the most of this gradient. So I’m adding repeats, and instead of making the spine longer in chart two, I’ll do so by adding to the wings in chart 3. Hope to balance out the proportions by this.
Two more repeats of chart 3
Somehow the pattern repeat I chart seven seems different at the beginning and the end. Or maybe I’m knitting from an older version anyways, reversing the ‘k1 k2tog’.
Also, I’m puzzled: I knit more repeats, yet used less beads than per pattern and not that much more yarn. And yes, I triple-checked the number of repeats for all charts. Very weird. But maybe I was unable to count. It never pays off to let something linger for too long….
And the yarn - I love the gradient, it’s very smooth. But I’m not impressed by the quality of the yarn, way too many knots and uneven parts!
UPDATE on the yarn quality: Wollelfe contacted me to say that I had yarn from an older supplier and that they’ve switched suppliers in the meantime because of quality issues. I’m impressed!

Timeout while I deal with the crinkled yarn on the inside of the cake. It just affects tension way too much. Tested the outside of the cake with the same needle size and it’s a world of difference
