Notes

In a lightbulb moment, I realized this yarn from my stash would be perfect for a luxuriously cuddly, autumnal Mimosa.

Beads are Matubo size 7 MB-1369

The yarn has an interesting construction: two loosely plied threads, apparently one silk, one cashmere. They twist a bit more when knitting up. The fabric is absolutely yummy! It definitely is NOT DK, though! And a pain to knit with the two strands…..

I did test my leftovers on durability: the two strands together seem to hold up ok. I’m able to tear both individual strands, one very easily, supposedly the cashmere, the other requires a bit more force, but not much.

This makes me not too hopeful regarding the durability of this piece. It’s highly unlikely with the construction of this yarn that I’ll catch both strands somewhere at the same time. And I don’t produce heirloom pieces. They’re supposed to be worn. Nothing happened so far, though.

Starting weight of skein is 82g
