Notes

Because the blue and white reminds of of Delft tiles. And the green toes? Well, look!

  • FLK toes 1-11-8-11-1
  • 16 pattern repeats before gusset
  • Increase 5 times every 3rd row, 74 stitches in total, 32 for instep and 42 for the sole
  • FLK heel in next row 16 over the sole stitches: 4 stitches outside heel construction, then 1-11-10-11-1
  • decrease on each side every third row 5 times
  • pattern repeat 9 times for short socks
  • switch to smaller needles
  • 3/1 ribbing with the slipped stitch leading to middle stitch of k3 for 10 rows
  • purl 1 row, knit 4, JSSBO

Note to self: 7 pattern repeats are 4.5 cm in length unswashed, 5cm washed

a note on the yarn, and it’s not criticism!

There’s so much excess indigo in the yarn that I’m turning the white stripes light blue while knitting…. The colour bled even more when I gently soaked them. However, a quick spin in the washing machine’s gentle cycle mostly revived the white

Still love it!
