Following the notes of the first pair I made for my Dad.
Mirroring the cables for left and right socks with this pair.

• Longtail tubular cast on adjusted for 2x2 ribbbing

• 20 rows / 5cm ribbing on 2.25mm needles

• Change to 2.5mm needles for leg

• 7 pattern repeats for leg

• Start mini gusset for FLK heel, stitch to 2.25mm needles for back of leg

• 12 rows, increase four stitches in each side (1.5 pattern repeats)

• FLK heel over 5-1-11-10-11-1-5

• Decrease back in every 3rd row, down to 32 stitches

• Switch to 2.25mm needles all around when down to 36 stitches for the sole

• 7.5 pattern repeats from turning of heel till beginning of toe

• In last cross row, decrease two stitches on each side inside the cables instead of cabling 32 instep and sole stitches

• FLK toe over 1-11-8-11-1 stitches from sole towards instep

• Close with three needle BO in instep
