Trying again to make myself a skirt. Since this is measure-as-you-go, gauge doesn’t seem to be nearly as important, so hopefully I won’t #%&* it up like I did the other one.

I neither want nor can afford Noro yarn, so I think a couple of different colors of Bernat Pop! I have on hand might provide an interesting fabric.

Don’t like to purl so I may skip those rows.

Up to 80 sts.

Ended up 43.5” long before reducing.

Slipstitched the seam & tried it on. It fits! Dropped down to 4.5mm needle and picked up stitches (one per garter ridge) around the side that I carried the yarn up. Ribbed until I got sick of it (2x2). Bound off loosely, throwing in a YO every fourth stitch. Tiny bit tight at the bound-off edge, but the whole thing holds up with no need for elastic so I’m calling it a win.

I love, love, love the material created with this yarn garter stitch.
