Lots of mods to this one.

First off, join to work in the round after only two button holes.

For sleeves, after 3 inches, work those sts only in reverse stockinette. Bind off sleeves after 3.5 inches.

K2tog under arms on round after BO.

Referencing another pattern book, I decided to make the body 6”, measuring from the bottom of the underarms.

For whatever reason, I end up with 79 body stitches instead of the 91 the designer ends up with (and never ever tells you you will need until you get to the part about shaping for the legs).

So instead of her shaping every row, on the back I will decrease symmetrically every other row until I get to 36 sts, and then work one more row even because that should get me to the same number of stitches on the same row finally, and I can continue as written from there.

Decided also to keep the first and last three stitches in garter, and so moved the decreases in appropriately.

For the front, I did the same as the back to ensure it’d come out the same size.

I think in the future I’d tweak it a little bit to have more butt and less front coverage, make it a little closer to a “real” onesie. Overall, I’m really happy with it, even if the instructions are a bit vague. Just need to get some sew-on snaps now.
