I knit this when it first came out in 2004 using a lovely cashmerino aran that pilled like crazy.
Received this cotton yarn as a gift and decided to work the cardigan again.
Beads from Debbie Abrahams, size 6, color 34.
I’m placing the beads between sts with a purl stitch before and after. This requires some adjustment to the chart since I’m not placing the bead “on” a stitch.
I’ve shortened the body length of the sweater so it’s not so enveloping, more of a dress topper.
Now up to buttons and seaming in sleeves.
The color is more a true black as in the 3rd photo than the charcoal of the finished photos.
