3-17-23 Started the sleeves which will be shorter than the pattern’s 17” plus about 3” for the colorwork. I’m making them 13.25” plus about 3” colorwork as measured on the body. That means that the increases will have to be more frequent in order to get to the correct stitch number for the colorwork.

Turns out that the sleeves need to be joined on the same row as the body but need not match precisely to the pattern from the body. The raglan line is knit in the contrasting color anyway and breaks up minor differences in stitch pattern.

I took out the neck edge sts several times to get them right. Settled on German short rows. At last I’m onto the ribbing. A wash and block and I’ll post photos.
