I’m having a good time knitting this pattern. I’m planning on replacing the second panel down with a fire engine for my friend whose dad is a firefighter.

OK, danger here. Now I have to think about how to graph the fire engine. We’ll see how that goes.

A big thank you to Val Campbell for the charted fire truck. I adapted it to the truck chart in the Lion Brand pattern.
Now I’m on to the last tier of cars!

Finished and lined. Throw turned out ~30”x36”. The cotton fabric lining features the construction crew out building the road.
I used this basic method to line the blanket. I stitched to the border first and then tacked the washed lining.

I had yarn leftover (more than enough) to make the Rainbow Cardi by Clara Falk.

I see several hats in the future too.
Update: Five hats and counting.

4/2020 A coronavirus update. We didn’t have many masks in the house so I decided to hand stitch a couple. Not being much of a seamstress, the only material I had were leftover scraps from lining this blanket. So our masks have little Lego workers wielding shovels and driving back hoes. My husband not so thrilled.
