Pattern test for Steffi Glaves

Started in DK with 2.5mm hook, then did more versions with a vintage lace hook (0.4mm? 0.5mm??) and some embroidery thread (3 strands). Used a hook with no indication of what size it is. The other vintage one (that i didn’t use) is marked as “5½”, which is an imperial measurement for UK steel hooks and as far as I can find out, is 1.3mm - however, it looks smaller than that!! And the one I did use seems even smaller …

Then made a set in South Maid cotton with the vintage tiny hook. They work up a bigger than the 3 strands of embroidery floss. Needed to cut yhe yarn to get the yellowiest (?!) colour for the trumpet.
