Total make time (excl. assembly): 6h:45m

Finally chosen my colours (I think!) … had about 20 options face_with_hand_over_mouth

Thought about red or purple and I love the Drops Fabel guacamole - but it’s 4ply!! So decided against that for my test version. Also love the colour of my Lang Amalfi yarn, but it’s thick and silky and I haven’t got an equivalent for the lining/tongue.

I’d like to make one with SSDK Atlantis at some point.

Really like the crazy green/navy but tricky to pair anything with it… I have some aqua which might look OK.

Wondering if I should add another yarn to each colour, to help its stability? Decided it would be a good idea (and it gives a tweedy effect), so came up with this…

Frog comprises:
Green/navy DK & Green size 10 thread

Chest comprises:
Light aqua DK & Green size 10 thread

Lining comprises:
Bright coral DK and Red size 10 thread

. R11: needed to map this out using st markers for where the increases would be. Took me 3 attempts because my brain wasn’t braining! (1h:16m:56s) = 8mins

April 24, 2026

Left my light green behind, so couldn’t start assembling :(

No chance tomorrow, as I’m at Wonderwool Wales.

April 26, 2026

Finally have some time for assembly!

Slow going on the mouth, because there are fewer sts on the top lip of the lining than the frog part. Need to join yarn into frog part only for this bit (1st extra st), then sc both layers and then finish with slst (2nd extra st).

April 27, 2026

Continuing with assembly.
Front legs - added pipe cleaner because mine seem to be buckling quite a lot. Irene suggested wet blocking them.

April 28, 2026

Assembled back legs. Going to SJM`s so couldn't do much.

April 29, 2026

Attaching eyes is the bane of my existence!! Nightmare. Also FO & tidying ends.

Finally finished. Time taken does not include assembly, which frankly I lost track of and was a lot more than I care to think about!! ;)

Love the finished frog - think mine looks more like sozzled frog than hungry frog ngl … but that could be me projecting!
