Started with the wings. Got To R9 before running out of the 1st skein of DMC 770. Managed to find 2 more.

Got to R12 before I decided the body was crocheting up too stiff, so frogged it all. Then I split the DMC thread into 2 lots of 3 strands - it’s much more flexible (and it’ll go further).

Finished body. Did mouth.

(Red 2ply + red sparkle embroidery thread) held together. Had to rework 1st one using a 2mm hook because I ran out of glitter yarn. Ended up making sure I ran out in the same place on each eye (10th st on R7).

Finished all legs. Need to decide what to use for the pupil on each eye.

Decided to use Rico Creative Bubble for the pupil. Works out OK, even if it looks a little bit alien!!!

Finished sewing all the bits on.

Took it outside for a photo shoot. Blydi dog attacked it!!!
Washed it to try and salvage what I could.

Managed to salvage the body, the feet (need to make the legs again), one pupil, half a wing. AAAARGH!!!

No more glitter embroidery thread, so will need to redo those completely, with something different.

Starting the eyes again, using Roco Creative Bubble with 3 strands of embroidery floss (Anchor 598).

Rico Creative Bobble red 48.26g

R6-7: use 2mm hook rather than 2.5mm (I think it’s working up a bit bigger, so I want to reduce the eye size a bit)

Made another set of wings, salvaging half a wing from v1. Added the 6ch to each bobble foot.

Sewed the eyes back on. They’re defo a bit bigger but can’t worry about that too much now.

Messed up the nose… didn’t add a round of 6sc before the incx6 round :(

Started sewing the legs back on.

P.S. The weather is so hot atm, it’s actually unbearable :(
