I’ve chosen to print and follow the written/table instructions, but it was useful to glance at the charts during the first dozen rows or so.

Finished the first four wedges! Looks like the pattern varies significantly during the central wedge so this may require a bit more focus.

For hand painted yarns, consider mirroring use on each side of the shawl (ex. use one skein for the first two and last two wedges). If the skeins differ significantly it will be less noticeable this way.
