Notes

Update 10-23-2010 - finally a pic of Emelin. The actal color is the first pic - not the greenish closeups. A nice little pattern. As I was knitting it, it seemed sort of ordinary - but turned out very nice. I really liked the Lily Chin yarn - very nice and soft.

There’s a problem with the pattern that I figured out on my own. The star pattern looked sharp and distinct in the picture - but if you knit according to the chart, your star will look kind of amateurish and rough. When you do your cable twists - make sure you purl into the purls and knit into the knits. I’m not sure I’m clear on what I’m saying so I’ll try again. The pattern tells you to knit your cable twists - when in fact you need to see where you are - knit into the knits - and purl into the purls.

It’s done - didn’t take too long - and aside from the fact that I hate piecing things together - it was a nice little project. I can’t wait to see it on my granddaughter Emmy.
