Notes

This hat came about when all the little girls wanted anything that had to do with the Disney movie Frozen. I had some sequined yarn and thought I’d experiment.

The yarn is sport weight - definitely NOT a DK as it claims to be - but I ventured on with 96 stitches for the brim on US3’s. Switched needles to US5 and continued with the body. I added a little floral pattern after the brim and finished with a typical six-section hat decrease.

When the hat was finished it was cute but very lightweight. I knew my granddaughter would be wearing this a lot…and they live in Nebraska. I knit an inner hat with white sock yarn as a liner using US7 needles to hurry this project along - lol - and this worked out very well.

I’m sorry not to have an exact pattern, but I’ve knit so many hats that you start to learn the “formula” after awhile and can free-lance from there to make a hat that fits well and has the whimsical characteristics you want.

And, yes, Emelin loves the hat.
