Notes

When swatching, test your yarn overs. Despite numerous methods I couldn’t get them to look close in size until another Raveler, @knitworthytoricat said she used a “reverse half yarnover.” YouTube to the rescue: that is basically when you have a knit-yo-purl seuqence. You take the yarn OVER the right needle, then purl as usual. You do have to be careful to remember the “half” is there and knit it on the next round, but it worked a charm. I’ll add pics when I get better internet (on vacation). I ripped put 4” back to the collar, but it was worth it!

Mods: lowered the front neckline a bit since anything that runs the front of my neck bothers me (sigh). Did five (not 3) of the 2-stitch short rows, then the two 4-stitch beyond turns per the pattern.

Used same size needles for neck as for body, not a size larger as per pattern.

I LOVE heart LOVE how Thea succinctly teaches you how/where to modify to customize.

This yarn is heavenly—hope it wears well because I can see it becoming a summer stapLe along with Elsbeth Lavold’s silky wool.

DONE…blocked and waiting for warmer weather. I can totally see doing this again--perhaps a long sleeve? Really like my minor modifications to the neck, although I might have been able to go with it as written (I’m super sensitive to anything touching my neck). I like it so much I’m trying to convince my LYS to use it for a KAL!

I used the tuck a couple other knitters did -- thank you https://www.ravelry.com/projects/pickupsticks66/blueberry... and https://www.ravelry.com/projects/JustWantsToKnit/blueberr...

Used smaller needles for ribbing on sleeves and hem. Used the k1, p1, knit those two tog, then work the next stitch as presented and k2tog. The results was a tiny bit ripply so I may work a couple mini swatches in various yarns (cotton-wool blend vs all wool) to see if going down 1 needle size from the ribbing improves things. It blocked pretty well, though, so it may settle in.

Final weight for a top that is about 44” circumference finished is 209 grams, so just over 5 skeins.

I bought MORE Bio Balance, so will use these leftovers, the green and the new red-violet for a summer top. YUM!

L Sleeve 49

Sleeves: worked first 5 decreases then knit straight to 10” - worked a 24 stitch pleat. Next row decreased to 62 stitches - then 14 rows of K1 P1 ribbing.

Sleeves to 9”, then instead of decreases I knit a pleat of 24sts, then ribbing w/#3 for 1.5”.
