I knit to 97 sts in stockinette, then knit the lace until I ran out of yarn. I saw that some folks knit the left side of the lace as ssk to mirror k2tog on the right side. I did this, and it looks nice.

I used exactly one skein of this yarn and had about 2 yards left over. It’s not really big enough to be a shawlette, more of a triangular scarf. Maybe if I had stopped the stockinette at 77 sts like the pattern said and switched to the lace at that point, it might have been a little bigger.

Very quick knit and great if you need a quick gift for someone. Easy pattern. This is on my Pay It Forward list, so I will be giving it away. But Imma make one for me in the same color, because I love it.

This yarn just showed up at the store, and there aren’t many entries for it here yet, so it may be brand new. The colors are beautiful, and it’s got enough wool to be blockable, but I can’t say that I loved knitting with it. The ply is on the loose side, and it was sort of like knitting with really slippery roving. But I am not used to knitting with single ply, so it may just be my inexperience. Knitting with a loose hand is key, I think.
