I really love this pattern but there were a lot of trial and errors with this project. It started with my SpaceCadet’s mini skeins, where I had a lot of doubts about the yardage and couldn’t agree on when I could switch skeins. Now those mini skeins are part of “Arabian Tales”. Then I moved on with my Prism Break’s Radiant Spectrum Set. I was knitting “Free Your Fade” when I thought about using the leftovers for this pattern. However, I was hating the color order I had set up. I love purple and red and wanted it to be shown off in the middle instead of the ends. So before I frog that project for the third time, I casted on this project, starting with the green yarn, then blue, then purple, pink, red, and yellow.

The knitting progress of this project was alright. I obeyed the pattern’s instructions on when to do the color change. I stuck to my color order and even used green for Yarn A and G.

During the blocking I tried to mostly stretch the shawl vertically but I still may have overdone it stretching the shawl horizontally too. In the end the shawl was really wide. I can see mostly the red and yellow colors. I’m okay with it. But I think if I do this pattern again, I should work with 3 colors at most so I don’t have to worry about what color isn’t seen. I feel that I will have the same problem with “Free Your Fade”.
