This was my first Steven West project. I bought the pattern before the MKAL, believing that I would love the finishing look, no matter what and I bought Forbidden Fiber Co’s MKAL kit to help with that. It did bring an autumn 70’s look to it but I didn’t mind. I was right on having faith about this project. I didn’t struggle with the pattern. The videos on YouTube helped me not get confused. I learned other ways of weaving in ends while knitting. And while knitting the wings with the icord edge, I felt I was better off carrying the yarn inside the icord instead of cutting the yarn. After all, I couldn’t weave in the ends when row started with slipping stitches. I really liked the stitch design on the final clue. Since I had a lot of yarn leftover, I did one more repeat with each color. Seeing that I barely had enough for a third round of the first color, I used the other three colors to do the I cord bind off.
