We just got this new couch that is this lovely dark caviar gray and I wanted to make a throw in a light color for contrast.

CO 141 sts. I worked 12 full repeats of the chart (and then one half of the chart before finishing the border as written in the pattern).

I used double strands of Lion Brand Fishermen’s Wool, which I have never used before. I chose it mostly because I liked the color and because I could complete the project more on the inexpensive side. This was my first time using any kind of lace technique and this pattern was easy to get the hang of. It’s also my first large blanket.

After blocking, the throw measures approximately 49 inches wide by 53 inches long. This was a bit larger than I anticipated but I am pleased with how much it flattened out.

A nice warm blanket (just in time for summer?)!
