Instead of chaining 3 at the beginning of the rows I did a stacked DC for the first and beginning sts just so the edges could be a bit straighter/ sturdier

Simple Belt with tapered ends using 4.00mm dpns and Garter st:

2.KFB to last st, KFB (Repeat rows 1 and 2 until you have 6 sts) then continue knitting every row until it’s long enough then do a
tapered decrease:
1.K2tog, k to last 2 sts, ssk
2.K

Repeat these rows until 2 sts left then BO
