My hipster son saw this pattern in a book I’d purchased to look for sweaters for my old-school dad. Chose the Electra, despite its portrayal in a really unique color combination of white and red.

I’d had the yarn for at least a year, and decided that Christmas was the deadline this year. To finish it off, I found amazing vintage, all leather buttons from a seller on Etsy.

End result? A sweater that got worn from the moment it came out of the box until right before he went to bed on Christmas day. Success.
