Yarn was dyed, spun, and knitted by me. Fiber is stroll roving from KnitPicks dyed with Wilton’s icing dyes. I spun a three-ply fractal ply by splitting the roving into thirds, spun one third as-is, split one third in half, and split another third into four pieces. The colors are kind of… insane to say the least, but pretty in their own way. The fiber was lovely to work with, dyes are holding their color well.

This pattern is okay for toe-up but really I need to start the gusset earlier and do a bigger gusset for my high arches. The stitch is one I pulled out of a knitty blog entry from a while back, but I wish I’d just done stockinette. I also could have used a few increases at the top, they tend to sag because of my dancer’s calves and the slightly longer length.

Still, I’m so proud of these and they’re my first handspun socks!
