05/07/11 - Oh, I think the madness hampsters have been at my brain (I call her Brian) as last night found me in bed surrounded by dozens of brightly coloured scrappy knitted up squares. They swarmed across my legs, tangled with each other, my sheets, my sleeves, my hair. They hung off pillows, off books and my laptop. They coiled in a haphazzard mess amongst my discarded socks upon the floor…..
I havn’t really even begun to fathom how many of these little bastards I’ll have to make in order to bring my crazy blankety dreams to realisation. But I’m pretty certain working it out will be the death of this project…and potentially any sex life I might entertain the notion of having in the near future.
No better protection than a bed full of messy yarn balls & tiny earnest knitted squares….except maybe an army of cats…
I cohabit with 3, but they’re not really mine, I swear!

27/07/11 Blanket larger and wider than current photos indicate. Have chosen to make blankie 13 squares wide.

10/08/11 - 127 squares down…

02/05/12 - Apart from a slightly more than a few ends of yarn to sew in, I have finished all the coloured squares. Now picking up and knitting in the black triangles round the outside. 6 down 54 to go…
Then I will do an applied I-cord Bind off around the straightened edge.

13/05/12 - 35 triangles to go….

21/05/12 - 23 triangles to go…

27/05/12 - finished last triangle last night & am halfway through applied icord edging…then will come the hours of sewing the threads in at the back…sigh..but also YEAH!

03/06/12 - icord edging done. All back & 2 full sides of threads sewn in….

04/06/12 - All finished yay!!!!! Weeeeeooooweeeeoooooweeeeeee!!!
