Making Millicents without the lace for a few reasons. One is that my husband doesn’t care for it and thinks I should make it without, so I’m going to do at least one pair sans lace and probably two or three with. Two is that the lace won’t show up all that well with the black anyway. Three is that I want to wear them less than a week after I’ve cast on, so they will go much faster if I don’t knit the lace!

Cast On: Twisted German
Mods: No lace, starting with 1x1 ribbing, using C1F to switch to 2x2 ribbing.
Keeping the ribbing going in the foot as follows:
My foot is amazingly 2” longer than the traveling rib crossing the entire ribbing portion, so I ended on a Row 2, did the toe setup, then did a K3tog or SSSK paired with a M1 instead of the K2tog or SSK for the wedge toe, keeping the rest of the rib stitches as set.
