Notes

I used roughly 120 grams of thread for this over-sized round lace doily.

This is the second pattern I’ve knit from this book and it, too, has issues. Nothing horrible, but stupid mistakes that someone should have caught in editing.

It was a nice enough pattern to knit. A bit boring, but not shockingly so.

Using stitch markers between each chart repeat was a lifesaver as there are 48 chart repeats for a good part of the pattern. Stitch markers that do not snag your thread make everything much easier.

For the parts of the chart were 4 stitches are slipped, 5 stitches are knit and the slipped are passed over, I slipped 1 stitch at a time and it worked out just fine.

For the parts where 5 stitches are turned into 1 stitch, I slipped 2 stitches, knit 3tog and passed the 2 stitches over. I think that method sort of goes with the turn 9 into 5 mentioned above.

Blocking and FO photo credit goes to the fabulous Joan. More photos can be found on my blog.
