turned out super-adorable - the hippo and his owner are now living in Germany :)

it went fairly quickly - only worked on it during the weekends during a movie marathon.

I found the pattern to be more tediously-written than i needed, but it is probably excellent for those needing more help.
I hope to make more of these.
