What an amazing new design of Natasja Hornby, this Xyla shawl!

It is so much fun making this beauty in mosaic knitting technique.. The easiest way to work two coloured knits. I always say… If you know how to knit, purl and up stitches, you are up and able to make the most awesome garments and accessoiries in mosaic technique.

Xyla is started with a rectangular central part. Than the two wings are worked. After that the stitches on the underside are picked up for the borders.
And like ‘the cherry on top of the cake’ (as we say in Dutch = the icing on the cake)… the two tassels are adjusted.

About the amount of yarn i used for Xyla:
MC dark burgundy (red purple) ca 670 m
C1 naturel (fresh linen) ca 404 m
C2 cyclamen (pink) ca 280 m incl tassels

Measurements after blocking:
Width: 260 cm
Length: 58 cm

Xyla is such a gorgeous design that immediately after binding off the pink one I decided to cast on a second one in dark blue, turquoise and dark green.
