Notes

Notes regarding the pattern:

I felt that two spots in the instructions were unclear near the end:

1) When slipping the ‘V’s purlwise, one must first bring the working yarn to the back, so as to not end up with tiny lines across the lovely knit stitches.

2) After k3tog / sk2ping the last stitch of each group of six, you do not have to treat them as a ‘V’ -- just knit them.

~~~
This was the most complicated project I’ve done to date, and I’ve also had to frog it the most times trying to get it right. Helping me through the struggle was the yarn I used-- Sanguine Gryphon’s Bugga, which is just leaps and bounds better than any other yarn I’ve used to date. (That isn’t a very difficult accomplishment, I realize, since I’ve mostly used acrylic blends up until now.) The colours of SG’s yarns are just so lovely and the feel of it is just so great--I’ve decided that I’ll be splurging for all my tougher projects from now on.
This was a wedding gift to my sister-in-law, as red is the Chinese colour of marriage and luck, and I thought the pattern would suit her perfectly.
