Notes

My first attempt at knitting socks. The toe-up way is really enjoyable to knit, and I love the innovative techniques (magic loop, JSSBO) devised over the ages to overcome the shortcomings of the toe-up style. :D

The pattern was very simple and easy to follow. HOWEVER, I constructed the sock for a size 9 US male foot (EU size 43), and adjusted upwards to the “large” pattern just in case…… but lo and behold, the end result was too tight. (I could not try it on the recipient as I knitted it, because said recipient is 2000 kilometres away.)

This wasn’t a problem of length so much as width; male feet, being generally wider, can’t seem to slip into the sock. Said sock would probably fit for size 9 women (i.e. slimmer feet) but the pattern was listed as unisex and as a good choice for guys. :( Alas!

~~~
The yarn is a lovely colour, one of the only greens that I’ve liked. However, I must note that it piled much more than other skeins I’ve bought from SG.
