Notes

Pattern:
Really interesting pattern! It repeats, but there are enough different stitches to do to maintain interest. Love it!

Note: And if you follow the pattern and do what it asks you to do, exactly, you shouldn’t have any problems.

Yarn:
I had been looking for a rainbow gradient yarn for some time, and found a lovely one on Etsy - YarnArt Flowers #277. I managed to grab the last cake slightly_smiling_face
I find that this gradient yarn, in particular, is very good at colour changes. Instead of a ‘fluff’ that some gradient yarns appear to have where a new colour thread is brought in, YarnArt gradient yarns have a small thread where the colour changes )I think Hobbii do the same). I like this because you can easily weave the thin thread in, while dealing with a fluffy end is more difficult!

The designer recommends blocking the shawl to finish and this definitely makes a difference.
Blocking spreads the patterns out nicely and makes the edges neat (although the pattern is pretty good on neat edges already).

Measurements after blocking:
Length: 190cms (74.8 inches).
Width: 36cms (14.25 inches).

I’m looking forward to making more of these lovely shawls.
