Notes

This is a version of my Flower Star Square made with Aran (Worsted) yarn.
Yarn Used:
Marriner Aran in small amounts of:
Cream, Pink, and Light Blue

Project:
I am pleased to say that this square works up well with Aran yarn, so I am able to give details of the size of the finished square in Aran or Worsted yarn.

I used a 5.5mm hook and yarn I had left from other projects (I don’t often use Aran, but I might again now :) )
For the final, sc row, I used a 6mm hook.

Square measures exactly 9 inches (23 cms) unblocked.

Please note that I am do crochet fairly tight (not very tight, but a bit tighter than average :) ), so your sizes may vary.

Also please note for the pattern:
For the front post double treble crochet stitches, I make sure that they are not tight.
The square flattens out well once extra rows are added after the front post rows and particularly after the hdc row.
However, if the square still pulls a little, a good idea would be to make the rows which have the fpdtrc stitches in hdc for the remaining stitches, rather than dc. But give the pattern stitches a go first. :)
