Wow! This was a dream to knit. I chose it because I wanted a feathery pattern for my kingfisher-themed colourway, and this was perfect. The short rows were addictive and so simple and it was lovely to see it grow and the shape develop.

I lost count a bit at the beginning but soon worked out the most efficient use of a stitch marker to mark my increases and decreases and then I had no problems. Went up to 4mm needle but that’s fairly standard for me as I knit tight.

One 400m skein made 24 feathers with only the tiniest scrap left, so it was a perfect one skein wonder. I love how you can style it like a collar, too. Will be making more.
