Ordered by a friend as a baby shower gift -- I thought Mandala would be perfect to use, since it’s essentially the same weight as most baby yarns, but isn’t limited to just faded hues or pastels (and I’ll use any excuse to work with Mandala, lately!).

I attached the second skein by the outer end, instead of pulling from the center, so the color gradient would have more of an inverted effect. Finished with one round of crab stitching as the border.

Finished size, about 36” diameter measured at the points.
