Notes

Yarn: Feels dry and seems to be setting off my allergies somewhat. Gauge swatch washed and machine dried didn’t seem to change much. Not splitty at all.

Pattern: Very easy lace pattern so far. Error on body length in pattern and chart (lengths reversed by size). I created a chart of the lace pattern which was invaluable. The notes in the pattern sound confusing until you get to that section, then they make perfect sence. To do this pattern successfully you will need to be able to understand how to decrease in the lace pattern. Also placing the markers for each lace repeat helped tremendously, though the buggers tended to move with the yo’s sometimes.

7/7/13 Cast on for standard L size, using cabled cast on, on Knitters Pride US5 24”. Charted lace pattern and placed markers to make it easier to keep tract of lace pattern. Found it hard to figure gauge in lace pattern on swatch so crossing fingers on sizing.

7/9/13 1st skein got 8 1/2 lace repeats = 6” x ~44” (unstretched/blocked).

7/15/13 22 full lace repeats end on row 2 before split front and back. 11 lace repeats on back before binding off center stitches. 11 lace repeats + row 1/2 before doing 3 needle bind off on shoulders. Accidentally did it on right side creating visible seam, but it looks kind of cool so leaving it. MODS: Instead of doing “then every 3 rows 12 6, 5, 0, 0 times.” I did another 5 right side row decreases to match the number of lace repeats on back. Picked up less stitches around neck, did garter then BO Neck.
Current Yarn used: 272grams Should have enough for some kind of sleeves.

Doing short row sleeves.
Recharted lace for doing topdown sleeves. Basically reversed the ssk/k2togs.
Pickup and knit (starting at center armpit seam) 36, PM at shoulder seam, Pickup and knit 36, pm for beginning of round
Purl 1 round
Knit 1 round
thread life line
Start short row sleeves
Total Stitches 72, 1/3rd = 24.
PM 12 stitches to each side of shoulder seam
PM 11 stitches to each side of underarm seam
Using different type of marker, pm every 9 sts starting from shoulder seam for the lace repeats.
Short row in lace pattern, making sure to keep 9 sts between lace markers at all times (sometimes have to skip dec/inc).
Did 4 1/2 repeats of lace pattern.
End sleeve with 1 round purl, 1 round knit BO purlwise to match neckline.
7/17/13 Finished First sleeve. Started second sleeve. Only need 3 1/2 more rounds of lace pattern then BO to finish. Debating on how I want to block this, wet, steam, toss in washer/dryer…
9/3/13 Finally got around to weaving in ends and blocking this. Just tossed it in washer/dryer, found I missed a couple ends when it came out lol.
