Mindblowing experience to watch that grow on your needles! There are several variations in traditional Estonian lace knitting which do all have the starflower in the center.

First I did not know there were edge patterns also. So I added the edges at the end by sewing. Others should start with one edge, then continue with the lace pattern. Work the second edge with a different needle and connect this part with a knitting technique or by sewing, e. g., Kitchener Stitch, which is invisible.
